What are the venues amenities & access times?

For All Hosted Events:

Tailored Estate Access: Enjoy the specific spaces and times can reserved for your celebration, whether it’s the Historic Barn, the Lincoln Lodge or Overlook Pavilion.

The Overlook Pavilion: A versatile, covered space perfect for an open-air celebration or as a sophisticated, built-in rain backup for outdoor ceremonies.

Landscaped Grounds: Access to the gardens, pond, and historic stone bridge for photography and quiet moments.

Thoughtful Amenities: On-site parking with golf cart assistance upon request, ADA-accessible entrances and rest rooms, and our signature stone fireplace and outdoor fire pit.

Exclusive to Wedding Bookings:

The Wedding Experience: Weddings include exclusive use of both the Historic Preserve and the Lincoln Lodge, providing a natural flow from your ceremony to cocktail hour and reception.

The Preparation Suites: Full-day access to the Primrose Bridal Suite + Mansion kitchen and the Tack Room Groom’s Lounge.

The Luxury of Time: Full-day access from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with exclusive estate privacy beginning at 12:00 PM.

Setup & Teardown: For on-site ceremonies, we provide full setup and teardown of our ceremony chairs (up to 200 guests), along with reception tables and cross back chairs (up to 200 guests).

Rehearsal Time:A complimentary one-hour rehearsal (scheduled based on venue availability).

A Note on Our Sanctuary
To preserve the historic integrity of the estate, Bentley Farms is a non-smoking venue.

Designated Areas: Smoking is permitted only in the designated area near the outdoor fire pit. For the safety of our 1820s structures, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Barn, Mansion, Honeymoon Suite, Rosemary Courtyard & grounds.

How do I reserve my celebration date?

Securing Your Sanctuary
We believe the journey to your wedding day should be as seamless as the celebration itself. To help you plan with ease, we offer flexible booking options and a tailored payment schedule.

Reserving Your Date: Begin your journey with a 25% or 50% reservation retainer, due within 10 days of your agreement signing. Your celebration is officially reserved once the signed agreement and retainer are processed.

A Flexible Path: We’ll work with you to create a payment schedule that fits your rhythm, with helpful reminders sent along the way so you can stay focused on the joy of planning.

The Final Details: Your remaining balance and a refundable damage retainer are due 90 days prior to your celebration.

Peace of Mind: To ensure a worry-free weekend for everyone, we require simple event insurance for all our hosted celebrations.

How many guests can Bentley Farms accommodate?

Whether you are planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, our spaces transition seamlessly to accommodate your guest list.

Intimate Gatherings: We have no minimum guest count, making the estate a perfect fit for smaller, boutique weddings and private retreats.

Seated Celebrations:

  • * Up to 225 guests with a full dance floor for an evening of celebration.
  • Up to 250 guests for formal seated dining without a designated dance area.

Cocktail-Style Soirées & Mixers: For flowing receptions and social events, the estate comfortably hosts up to 300 guests throughout our indoor and outdoor spaces.

What is the investment for an estate wedding?

Every celebration at the estate is a bespoke experience. Our rates reflect the curated access, the historic preservation of the grounds, and the natural beauty of the Pennsylvania seasons.

The Overnight Estate Experience For those seeking a true sanctuary, our multi-day stays offer exclusive, immersive access to the Mansion, Barn, and grounds. This allows you to settle in, celebrate, and retreat without the rush of a single day.

Seasonal Estate Weekend Stays | A full weekend rental with check in at 3PM on Friday & Checkout at 11AM on Sunday, $10,500 – $16,500 depending on the season & date

Single-Day Wedding Celebrations | A 14 hour rental, perfect for couples looking for a focused, high-impact celebration. Rates vary based on your chosen season and the day of the week, with our Saturdays offering the height of the weekend experience.

  • The Saturday Premier | $6,000 – $10,500 

  • The Friday or Sunday Celebration | $5,000 – $8,500

  • Intimate Weekday Gatherings (Mon–Thu) | Micro weddings – 50 guests or less, 6 hour rental, $3,500 – $5,500

Ceremony & Future Planning

  • Exclusive Promotions:From seasonal incentives to mid-week “micro-wedding” specials, we frequently offer exclusive promotions to help make your dream stay at the estate a reality.
  • On-Site Vow Exchanges: To ensure a seamless transition for your guests, on-site ceremonies include professional setup and tear down starting at $900.

  • Future Seasons: We are currently reserving dates through 2028. To account for the ongoing preservation and elevated care of the estate, a modest seasonal adjustment applies to future bookings.

  • Seasonal & Holiday Fluctuations: Our rates are thoughtfully curated to reflect the natural beauty of the Pennsylvania seasons. Please note that holiday weeks and holiday weekends may be subject to additional investment to account for high demand and staffing.

  • Preserving the Estate: To ensure the continued care and historic preservation of Bentley Farms, all rates and policies are subject to change until a formal reservation is secured.

Who manages my celebration? Do I need a planner?

The Architecture of a Flawless Day
To ensure your celebration is as seamless as it is beautiful, Bentley Farms utilizes a “Dual-Leadership” model. This clear division of roles allows every detail of the estate and your personal vision to be managed with expert precision.

The Venue Director | Property & Operations: Your Venue Director is the steward of the estate. They oversee the “House” logistics, managing the facility, on-site staffing, climate control, and property safety. They ensure the Barn, Mansion, and Grounds are pristine and performing perfectly for your arrival.

The Wedding Planner | Vision & Vendors: Your Planner is the architect of your personal day. They are your primary point of contact for all outside vendors, managing your creative team, decor assistance, and the specific timing of your ceremony and reception.

Expert Coordination for a Seamless Experience
Because an 1820s estate requires specific logistical knowledge, we require all couples to partner with a professional Wedding Planner or Coordinator.

Our Curated Favorites
To ensure a stress-free experience, we ask that you select a partner from our Signature Partner List. These experts are intimately familiar with the estate’s layout and rhythms, allowing them to lead your vendor team with effortless precision.

Selection Timeline: To keep your planning on track, couples have 90 days from signing their agreement to confirm their professional coordinator.

Bringing Your Own Expert: We encourage the use of our signature or referred planners to ensure a flawless event. For planners not yet acquainted with our estate, a Vendor Coordination & Risk Management fee applies. This covers the essential site-specific orientation and management needed to protect the integrity of our historic venue during your celebration.

Do you have a preferred vendor list or can we bring our own?

Professional Partner Standards

To ensure the safety of our historic 1820s estate and the excellence of every event, Bentley Farms maintains the following requirements for all professionals and creatives:

  • The Signature & Preferred Partners: We take immense pride in our Signature Partner List. These experts are intimately familiar with our power grids, load-in paths, and estate rhythms.

 

  • Outside Professionals: We welcome new talent; however, if you choose a professional not currently on our registry, a Vendor Coordination & Risk-Management fee applies. This ensures a seamless experience by covering the additional venue orientation and oversight required to maintain the integrity of the estate.

 

  • Credentials & Insurance: All vendors must be established, licensed professionals and provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) meeting Bentley Farms insurance requirements. Certificates must be submitted a minimum of 30 days prior to the event for review.

 

  • Catering & Bar Standards: We require full-service, insured catering teams (no “drop-off” service). All alcohol must be served by a RAMP-certified (or equivalent) professional bartender who provides their own tools and service equipment. Four portable wooden bars are available for indoor & outdoor use.
Are there any decor or set up limitations?

Decor & Design Standards

To honor the historic integrity of our 1820s Barn and the natural beauty of the grounds, we ask that all event design adheres to the following preservation guidelines:

Atmospheric Lighting: To protect our historic structures, we require battery-operated or fully enclosed candles only. Open flames are strictly prohibited indoors; however, sparklers are a beautiful and welcome option for outdoor grand exits.

The “Leave No Trace” Policy: To keep our gardens and interiors pristine, we do not permit the use of glitter, confetti, rice, birdseed, or silly string. We recommend flower petals or bubbles for a whimsical, estate-friendly alternative.

Preserving the Architecture: We invite you to be creative with freestanding decor! To protect our original wood and masonry, please ensure nothing is affixed (nailed, taped, or stapled) to the walls, beams, trees, or permanent fixtures.

Timely Arrivals & Departures: To ensure the estate is perfectly prepared for every guest, all personal decor and outside rentals must be delivered, set up, and removed within your designated rental hours.

Do you allow pets & "extraordinary visitors?"

Animals & Pets at the Estate
We believe that four-legged friends are family, too! From beloved family dogs to festive “beer donkeys” and even visiting Highland cows, we love seeing animals as part of your storied celebration.

For Your Furry Family Members:

  • Ceremony & Portraits: Your personal pets are welcome to join you for your outdoor ceremony and professional wedding portraits.
  • The “Fresh Air” Policy: To preserve our historic interiors and guest accommodations, pets are invited to enjoy our outdoor areas only. They are not permitted inside the Barn, Lodge, Mansion, or any of our private suites.
  • Leashed & Loved: For the safety of your pet and our resident wildlife, all animals must be leashed and under the constant supervision of a designated handler.

For Unique Animal Experiences (Donkeys, Cows, Goats):

  • Professional Partners Only: All visiting livestock or specialty animals (such as beer donkeys, mini cows or alpacas) must be provided by a professional, insured business entity.
  • Credentials & Care: The providing vendor must submit a Certificate of Insurance (COI) and is responsible for the professional handling, safety, and immediate waste cleanup throughout the duration of their time on the property.

A Note for Handlers:

Estate Stewardship: Owners and professional handlers are responsible for the immediate cleanup and any property damages. To ensure the estate remains pristine for every guest, violations of these guidelines may affect the refundable damage retainer.
